In Northeast China in the Shandong Province stands Mount Tai, or as local language refers to, Taishan. It is one of the five famous mountains throughout this region of China. Every year many people ascend this mountain, dating back to the days of the Emperor, to make a wish. It is said that a wish made at the top of the mountain will come true. Every year the Emperor would come and have his personal assistants carry him to the top to make his wish.
